What time does the Festival OPEN to the public on Sunday, Feb. 11, 2 018? I’ve never been to an event like this whose advertising does not show the time it OPENS and CLOSES.
I went up to the museum on the 3rd floor and saw a photograph of my grandfather, W.W. Yen, with a group of visitors in front of a Chinese style tea house in Khabarovosk, in around 1935, when he was posted to the USSR as Ambassador from the Republic of China!
What a delightful surprise! I would like to know more about this photograph in the museum, like who donated it, and is there an inscription on the back?
The University of Virginia is naming a building after W.W. Yen on April 13, 2018, “Yen House”. Perhaps they would like a copy of the photograph to display in the newly named residence hall for their Russian students to see.
